Long Mynd. Saturday 15 May 2010. Clouding over as we arrive and the odd spot of rain. As it clears a nice kick in the face from a nasty thermal, then a climb out under a brewing cloud. The sky was clearing and should have hung around but what the hell. Landed next to some asparagus farms. Many thanks to Chris Webb's folk and the Snowdon posse for the lift back.

Penyclod and Conwy Mountain. 5 May 2010. Scrappy air and sea-breeze convergence on Penyclod, and then smooth coastal soaring above the dual carriageway at Conwy. Only topped by the fission chips and a beer on Conwy seafront.

Bunster. Too many folk have the same idea and it's crowded, with bubbles of lift but nothing decent enough to make it work enduring. Better having a sandwich on the floor than trying to avoid everyone else in the melee. Saturday 24 April 2010.

Bradwell to Lincoln. Rough as hell climb out and some stonking lift around in the blue. Random thermals, but nice to fly with Barney, Jason and H for a bit. Just a shame to be down at Lincoln, whilst the rest fly to the Wash. Epic 22 April 2010.

Short hop from Shining to Miller's Dale and then some soaring on Bradwell, Saturday 17 April 2010

SW from Cow Close to near Longridge. Lovely first climb out with Barney, Mark, H, Richard and the Wally, then a bit of shennanigans connecting with a street to the west. Epic climb-rates, and a glide to Totteridge to see people soaring the West face in the sea breeze (slightly confusing...). Glad to have taken the day off work. Monday 12 April 2010.

Malverns, packed take-off with the BCC, mega-soupy inversion and flying with a friendly buzzard. Landed in the most hospitable place ever by Garway Hill where a beer or two was thrust into my hand after landing and the Bish came retrieving, Saturday 10 April 2010.
